About Bev
Who is Bev and what can she do?
Bev is trained to think like an analyst, marketer, and consultant. She’s a resource to identify your advantages and opportunities in your local market. She’s a time-saving assistant to analyze different elements of your business without the need for advanced technical skills. She’s a thought starter for new campaigns, events, and ideas while knowing how they’re working in the market.
How is Bev different than ChatGPT?
Bev is engineered to know craft beer. While Bev is an AI-agent, Bev’s brain is all of our proprietary consumer research. We regularly produce national-level reports as well as business-specific research for our clients. By accessing Bev, you’re accessing every piece of research we’ve ever produced.
How does Bev know my business?
Two ways. First, we still conduct our market analysis on your business and your competitors using information that exists on the internet (e.g., reviews, Reddit conversations, beer forums). Second, you can provide us documents like sales summaries, business strategy, event planning, and more. The more you provide — the better Bev answers your business-specific questions.
Is data I provide private?
Yes. Any sensitive data you provide (e.g., sales data, future planning, brand strategy) will be housed in your company’s specific Bev assistant. None of your sensitive data will ever be used to train other versions of Bev. Further, all proprietary consumer experience data on your business and competitors is publicly available.
Does Bev replace staff?
Absolutely NOT. Bev is a tool to provide data-driven recommendations in a matter of seconds. Bev is not a solution to every problem, a substitution for creativity or intuition, or a replacement for your team’s expertise and strategic judgment.
What types of questions can I ask Bev vs. Bev Pro or Bev Enterprise?
You can ask Bev questions like: How can we attract more Gen Z customers? What kinds of events are popular among consumers? Are there any beverage trends we should be aware of? What are the pros and cons of having a food truck at the brewery?
You can ask Bev Pro or Bev Enterprise questions like: What are my brewery’s strengths compared to the local market? We had Trivia last Tuesday – how did our sales compare to last week without Trivia? How can we differentiate in our local market? With what you know about our brand, think of some fresh event ideas we haven’t tried yet.
What’s the data processing fee for?
For any new client and set of competitors, we gather information on your business and your competitors from January 2023 to present so you have immediate access to historical insights. Both Bev Pro and Bev Enterprise feature our real-time ConsumerPulse dashboard, showing how your business stacks up to your chosen list of competitors. This fee also covers web hosting, dashboard development, and the “always-on” data collection.
A Note on Our Product Approach…
Data is great, but without taking action, it’s just numbers without direction. That’s why we created Bev, a custom AI agent who knows your business, your customers, your competitors, your sales, and more – to have an analyst ready to turn data into action. It’s not just about collecting numbers; it’s about giving you the tools to brainstorm, analyze, and make decisions that actually move the needle.
The backbone of all our products is a proprietary dataset based on tens of thousands of taproom visits across the country. It is updating in real-time, all the time providing our clients the most up-to-date information on their brands, competitors, and industry trends overall. In addition, we regularly survey US consumers with questions provided by our clients. In this way, we have historical tasting room visits as well as a pulse on the current trends in the industry.
